351. New NIH Director Admits That $350M Secret Royalty Payments Has Appearance of ‘Conflict of Interest’

The current acting director of the NIH was sitting before Congress on Wednesday, when he admitted that the hundreds of millions of dollars in secret royalty payments, going to men like Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Francis Collins, do have the appearance of a conflict of interest.

This comes on the heels of a report from a government watchdog group released about a week ago that showed approximately $350 million flowing to employees at the NIH from pharmaceutical companies and private firms.

And so, in order to get to the bottom of all this money, I had a chance to ask Dr. Ryan Cole exactly how money exchanges hands between all the private actors and the relevant government agencies.
